What is AMCAP and how do I use it?

We use AMCAP to troubleshoot any camera issues, and to adjust camera settings that may not be accessible inside the animation software you are using.

To start and use AMCAP, do the following:

1. Exit all running programs, in particular those that may accept a video input (Skype, animation programs and so on).
2. Check your desktop for an AMCAP icon. If you don't see it, click the Start menu and type "AMCAP" into the search bar, or click "Search" (Windows XP).
3. When AMCAP is launched, you should see an image from your camera if it is properly installed and recognized by the computer.
