Error: "Stopmotion Explosion Animator" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software

You may see this one-time error message on MacOS 10.15 Catalina, or earlier versions. It appears because the Stopmotion Explosion Animator app has been downloaded from a website, instead of from the Apple App Store.

To resolve the error, simply right-click the application icon and from the context menu, click "Open". You will then be able to open the app, and the warning should not appear again.
